Yun Hsiang (Sandy) Wang (b. 2000) is a photographer and visual artist based between New York and Taiwan. With a foundation in photography, Wang has expanded her practice to encompass multidisciplinary works such as performance, video, and installation. Wang’s work primarily center on themes questions of identity, emotions, and existence, through capturing her own body in various setting focusing on movements, gestures, interactions with materials and the environment. Viewing her body as the medium to connect with society, create dialogue between herself and others.
Wang received her BFA from Parsons School of Design (2023) and is currently pursuing her MFA at Cornell University (2026). Her work has been exhibited at Wonder Foto Day (Taiwan, 2019), and she was a finalist at the Sarajevo Photography Festival (2023). She was awarded Gold at the MUSE Photography Awards (2023) and Silver at the New York Photography Awards (2023).
